I purchased a Sony PSP over the other gaming systems formost because of the Sony name.  My children have loved these gaming systems.  I find the games to be inexpensive when compared to the television gaming systems.  These handheld systems kept two very active boys occuppied on a long roade trip to the beach this past summer.  Accessories like a car charger was very expensive and well worth the money.  The system have been dropped too many times to count yet still work so that will attest to their durability.  Unfortunately, it did not survive being chewed upon by our Police K-9 when left in his reach.  We should show that to anyone who wants to run from him! 

The PSP - Sony PSP or Playstation Portable System by Sony is not at all a bad console in design but lacks a lot of quality games for the adverage gamer.  When I say it lacks games I mean there are not a lot of great games for it for my tastes; only about 4 to 5 games are a "must-have."  On the upside the Sony PSP also plays movies!  This little feature has saved me many a boring hours on long airplane and train rides and there are a lot of good movies available for it besides the games.  Becasue of this I would say this product is fantastic for kids and adults alike most especially if they travel often.  The battery life really isn't too bad but do to the high features and graphics is worse then other handheld consoles maybe 5-8 hours, depending).  The screen is wide and by far the best so far with this technology but, on the bad side, can be very fragile and may scratch easily.  However screen protectors can be purchased to help with this (which are cheap and actually work well...
